Engage106-76 – A New Type Of Public Engagement Pilot

In April 2015, the City of Edmonton partnered with seven
communities on a pilot engagement process to identify how
these streets could be more walkable, bikeable, and livable public
spaces that connect people. Input has been used to identify
improvements that will be constructed over the next few years.

More than 1,000 people participated in engagement activities:

  • Residents signed up as Community Partners
  • Surveys were used to understand Walkability, Livability,
Drivability/Transit use, and Bikeability in Engage 106 76 communities
  • Community workshops explored local experiences,
    challenges, and opportunities
  • Feedback on the draft concept plan was gathered at an Open House
